This album arises from the need of an intellectual, who is also an artist and musician, to explore the discomfort of contemporary society, which is increasingly intent on forcing humanity into a future that oppresses individual liberties and critical thought, deeply dystopian: a future that is, in reality, already present.
Antonello Cresti thus presents his journey of analyzing his own matured intolerance, which ultimately points to criteria common to all people still endowed with free thought and a yearning for true freedom, in an ideal democratic society, an increasingly elusive image in the mists of totalitarianisms, both ideal and actual, which are now increasingly dominant.
Regarding the compositional style, we quote the author himself:
"Since I have never liked to take myself too seriously, and since I learned the technique of citationism from Battiato, all these songs are permeated with references to the 'soundscape' of my adolescence, and hints of Carmen Consoli, Bluvertigo, Litfiba, and also Sex Pistols, Manu Chao, or Battiato himself, emerge...
These six songs may not contain the me of today, but it is certain that I contain them. And that is a beautiful sense of continuity."
