One Point Recording and analog mastering

The original One Point Recording was made at the Church of San Francesco in Schio, Italy, on April 12 and 13, 1999. The main stereo pickup used a special configuration based on 2 Schoeps MK2s and 2 Schoeps MK21 microphones mounted on a single custom-shaped bar designed by Marco Lincetto.

The new analog mastering was completed on January 28, 2026 at VLS Studio, Náquera, Spain, using a Rupert Neve Designs analog console and a Studer A810 reel-to-reel recorder on ¼-inch master tape running at 38 cm/s.

Direct Metal Mastering and PET Crystal Vinyl

Direct Metal Mastering – DMM

With Direct Metal Mastering, the signal is cut directly into a copper surface, avoiding the traditional lacquer stage. The precision of DMM cutting is particularly suited to high-fidelity record production and enables highly accurate groove definition.

Crystal Vinyl and PET technology

This edition uses a Crystal Vinyl medium made from PET – polyethylene terephthalate and produced by injection molding. The precision of the process is intended to provide high geometric stability, accurate centering and a uniform surface, important characteristics for limiting wow & flutter and background noise while preserving dynamics, stereo-image stability and high-frequency response.
