Giorgio Gaslini's classical yet ever-innovative piano playing is placed at the service of Laura Conti's vocal flexibility, theatricality, and technical finesse. A modern-day Zelig of the keyboard, he explores the spirit of 14 different styles 14 times, uniting them all with the subtle blue line of his own artistic soul, shaped and expressed over the last 60 years of music history.
And Laura Conti is the only person who can be the protagonist of this fresco of songs: because she knows how to follow and transform into her own the authoritative traits imposed by the author's hand, in an exchange of understanding and complicity that transforms the interplay of roles into a consolidated unicum.
And in the end, one in function of the other and the other in function of the one close a perfect circle, describing an absolutely autonomous and self-sufficient microcosm of sounds, which leaves the attentive listener, and even the casual one, with no doubt that something is missing or that something is excessive.
