This is Velut Luna's first blues album, authentically blues.
The Four Fried Fish, together with the Flyin' Horns brass section, offer us a reading of the “black” genre par excellence, simultaneously classic and modern at the same time.
In fact, on the one hand the more traditional styles are absolutely respected, on the other the grafting of musicians of jazz derivation, such as the Flyin' Horns, gives a particularly vigorous Funky & Jazzy polish.
Bassano del Grappa like Chicago? Perhaps so, listening to this band based on the banks of the Brenta River, which for once seems very similar to the Mississippi River.

The album features almost exclusively original compositions by the two bandleaders, Flamiano Mazzaron (guitar and vocals), and Fabio Ranghiero (piano). Two covers stand out: the famous ROLLIN' STONE, featuring special guest Marco Pandolfi on harmonica, and THREE COOL CATS, in which Tiziana Guerra's mellow vocals and the Flyin' Hornes' groove give this lively album a Tex-Mex flavor.
A genre steeped in sweat and passion like this can only benefit from the dynamic, strictly live-in-studio recording by Marco Lincetto at Areamagister Studios. A powerful, dynamic sound, rich in polished colors: a delight that will make you want to turn up the volume on your system...
Last but not least, an interesting technical note: during the mixing and mastering phase, the monitor system was wired with TPROJECTCABLES cables, made by "our" Mauro Di Gialleonardo
