István Kertész conducts two symphonies by Ludwig van Beethoven in live recordings: Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, Op. 60 with the RAI Symphony Orchestra, Turin and Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92 with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra.

Recordings

The Fourth Symphony highlights the flexible and luminous character of Beethoven’s writing, while the Seventh develops a more driving rhythmic tension. Kertész maintains clarity of line, dynamic balance and continuity of discourse across the two orchestras.
