Le composizioni contenute in questo CD ci permettono di conoscere le più significative pagine cameristiche scritte su te-sti di Dante tra Otto e Novecento. La fonte letteraria privilegiata è la Divina Commedia, e soprattutto l’Inferno con i suoi personaggi le cui vicende terrene furono orribilmente e romanticamente travolgenti. L’altra opera che offre i suoi versi alla musica è la Vita nova, una via di mezzo tra poesia e prosa, ovvero il delirio sentimentale di un adolescente per la figura stilizzata di una donna sua coetanea.

The compositions contained in this CD allow us to become familiar with the most significant and compelling chamber music scores composed on texts by Dante between the 19th and the 20th centuries. The primary literary source is the Divine Comedy, especially the Inferno with its characters whose worldly events were horribly and romantically overwhelming. The other work whose verses have been put to music is Vita nova, a middle way between poetry and prose, that is the emotional obsession of an adolescent for the stylised figure of a woman his own age.
