Slavery, the denial of fundamental rights and the lack of consideration for the individual African-American, contributed to the birth of the Blues, a popular music, synthesis and product of a difficult journey, faced by the African population on American soil, a powerful means of expression capable to reach the listener's ear in a simple and direct way.
The classics played by the great historical fathers, Blind Blake, Blind Boy Fuller, Robert Johnson and Charley Patton are completely re-arranged in a more modern guise through the stylistic and timbric diversity of each individual in the group, thus allowing to give character and transmit the typical elements that make the Blues unique in its simplicity.
Stop At The Devil's Crossroad is more than a simple playlist, it is a set of atmospheres that highlight different sound shades, from the most classic Delta-Blues with acoustic resonator guitar, harmonica and voice, to the electric sound of the traditional Blues trio, up to a larger line-up, consisting of a rhythm section, vocals and a brass section.
