Notes

CLASSICAL: original compositions by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann. Daniele Roccato, double bass / Marco Tezza, piano 24Bit / 96 kHz Digital Recording. Live in studio at Auditorium Sandro Pertini, Adria (Padova, Italy) May, 2001

The disc presents an interesting new interpretative point of view on some very famous pages of the romantic repertoire: Fantasiestucke op.73, Romanzen op.94 and Abendlied from op.85 by Robert Schumann and the famous "Arpeggione" by Schubert. The arpeggione was a particular instrument, distantly related to the cello, which fell into disuse and was replaced by the cello, precisely. This is why the transcriptions of the brilliant Daniele Roccato do not appear out of place, but rather create new interesting combinations of timbre. REVIEWS: AUDIOREVIEW - March 2002, Marco Cicogna (News column) SUONO - April 2002, Paola Raschi AMADEUS - March 2002 (short report, 4 and 5 stars)
