Con Urania è la prima volta che queste registrazioni vengono proposte in un’unica edizione. Finora non era possibile in quanto, per mezzo secolo, erano appartenuti a diverse etichette antagoniste: RCA e CBS , che durante il 1960, durante il debutto americano di Richter, avevano entrambi registrato il grande artista durante il suo tour negli Stati Uniti, incluso Chicago e New York. Queste registrazioni sono davvero storiche, dedicati a due compositori, Beethoven e Brahms, piuttosto lontani da quella cultura russa che Richter rappresentava. Dopo tanti anni, tutti possono ascoltare l’inalterato valore della lezione interpretativa di Richter e la sua perenne attualità.
