My Standards - Francesco Mascio
About ten years after his first record release "Europa Jazz Quartet" and after eight records characterized by the use of the most disparate stylistic ingredients, Francesco Mascio returns to the origins with a new work inspired by the jazz tradition: "My Standards". As the title of the album suggests, it is a production entirely composed of original songs, eight of which are the result of a writing work matured over the years, While the compositions 'Esharef’s Moment' and 'Soul of New York' are the result of an overall experimentation based on the concept of radical improvisation. Although the theme of the album is strongly focused on jazz, Mascio does not fail to express a marked polyhedricity, which manifests through the wise use of numerous stylistic influences (latin, world, soul, free, classical and more) and its peculiar jazz crossover tuned to 432 Hertz.The album concludes with the solo classical guitar composition "Notes from the heart", from which Mascio lets out a dense emotional component, already strongly marked throughout his work.

RECORDING/MIXING/MASTERING EQUIPMENT
This album was recorded in the analog domain with digital archiving in lossless quality at 192 kHz 32-bit using a state- of-the-art Metric Halo ULN8 3D converter. Mixing and mastering were performed exclusively in the analog domain employing a top-notch suite of external tube gear.
This approach seamlessly blends the timeless essence of analog with the cutting-edge capabilities of digital. Mastering in analog domain on RTM SM900 high-output on Ampex ATR102 2-channel 1/2-inch analog tape recorder.
The wide dynamic range may lead to tracking issues if your system is not optimally calibrated.

This vinyl is supplied together with a comfortable protective sleeve 40 micron thick, resealable by double-sided closing flap.
