The recording was made during the afternoon of Friday, September 11, 1997, at the "Masiero e Centanin" Musical Foundation, in Arquà Petrarca in the province of Padua. Franco played a Steinway&Sons D274 Grandpiano, while Saverio played a vibraphone and a marimba, kindly made available by Maestro Massimo Pastore.
This recording is the chronicle of a meeting of talents that has been going on for 4 years now: each note documented by the three hours of recording can be considered a precious gem. Nothing has disturbed the interplay of the artists and nothing is to be thrown away: the selection of the songs to be included in this CD was very hard therefore for overabundance of quality.
Once again the humble technician simply raised two omnidirectional microphones and waited for the event to take place, letting the wood and stone of the room blend the sounds into a perfect whole, warm, soft and enveloping.
