Among the “immortal” musical pieces, the songs, we cannot fail to consider those dedicated to Christmas. The magic of the classic Christmas atmospheres is and remains such at any latitude, even if perhaps for different reasons.
These songs, some of which belong to a popular tradition that is lost in the mists of time, others composed by great classical authors, others still the fruit of today's pop culture, have the ability to reinvent themselves with each different performance, thanks to the arrangements for the most diverse ensembles. And so, without interruption, flow Jingle Bells, Let it snow!, Sleigh Ride, Silent night, Rudolph, Santa Claus is coming to town, White Christmas, Oh happy day, and many others.

This year Velut Luna entrusts the celebration of Christmas to a great Big Band with a jazz flavour – the Latin Jazz Band: 45 orchestra conductors, directed by Renzo De Rossi, capable of unleashing extraordinary energy and vitality, offering many ideas of originality, thanks to sometimes surprising arrangements of very well-known themes.

Recorded as always in high-resolution digital format 88.2kHz/24bit, using the “live-in-studio” technique in the beautiful acoustics of the Teatro Sociale in Cittadella, in the province of Padua, this album is characterised by a great sonic impact combined with sparkling dynamics.
