This album was recorded in the library of a splendid 19th century villa that belonged to the writer Fogazzaro, immersed in a pine forest whose magical and twilight atmospheres permeate this work. Paolo Birro plays a splendid 1930 Steinway&Sons D 274 Grandpiano that belonged to Arthur Rubinstein. Pieces by C.Porter, I.Berlin, Gershwin, J. Kern and others, as well as original pieces by the pianist.
