Bruno Walter conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic in a program that combines two Mozart masterpieces. In the first three tracks, Leon Fleisher takes center stage with the Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, KV 488, offering a clear and sensitive interpretation, supported by the elegant and precise accompaniment of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The balance between virtuosity and lyricism, combined with clarity of phrasing, gives the concert a remarkable interpretative freshness. The second part of the album is dedicated to Symphony No. 40 in G minor, KV 550, performed with the Vienna Philharmonic: an intense and structurally solid interpretation, capable of highlighting the drama and refinement typical of Mozart's final creative period.
