This album brings together two of Bartók's creative peaks, entrusted to the intense vision of Ferenc Fricsay. With the RIAS-Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Music for Strings, Percussion & Celesta comes to life as a soundscape suspended between mystery and tension, where the dialogue between sections creates highly evocative timbral architectures. The Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, on the other hand, gives form to the Concerto for Orchestra, a masterpiece of energy and invention, alternating irony, melancholy, and bursts of vitality. Fricsay succeeds in maintaining narrative coherence and formal transparency, illuminating Bartók's modernity with clarity and interpretative depth.
