PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
With Urania, this is the first time these recordings have been presented in a single edition. Until now, this was impossible because, for half a century, they had belonged to different competing labels: RCA and CBS, which in 1960, during Richter's American debut, both recorded the great artist during his tour of the United States, including Chicago and New York. These recordings are truly historic, dedicated to two composers, Beethoven and Brahms, quite distant from the Russian culture that Richter embodied. After so many years, everyone can hear the undiminished value of Richter's interpretative legacy and its enduring relevance.
