LOREDANA PILUSO is a Sicilian pianist who has lived and worked in Veneto for years.
She began studying piano at a very young age, graduating at 20 with top honors. She perfected her skills with international Maestros, embarking on a brilliant concert career that led her to perform in Italy and abroad.
She currently performs both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles; she works alongside actors and choreographers, curating the music for international unreleased productions. This recording project was born in collaboration with the piano builder Maestro Luigi Borgato, who, for the occasion, gave her the opportunity to record on his latest creation, the BORGATO GRAND PRIX 333.
BORGATO GRAND PRIX 333
It is called GRAND PRIX 333 and it is the largest piano in the world, with its actual length of three meters and thirty-three centimeters: about fifty centimeters more than traditional grand pianos, which can average two meters and seventy or two meters and eighty. The instrument is entirely handcrafted, using precious wood essences: rosewood for the internal lining; maple for the bridges; beech for the action's cushion; hornbeam for the levers and ebony for the black keys. Up to the soundboard spruce, the magical wood that makes the instrument "sing". In particular, the spruce wood used for the Grand Prix 333 is personally selected by Luigi Borgato and sourced from the Passau forest in Germany, and is characterized by an extraordinary peculiarity, which is to guarantee a sound velocity of six thousand meters per second, compared to three thousand for normal spruce trees.
This piano consists of over 15,000 parts and weighs over 700kg, and its construction requires more than 135 working days. The GRAND PIX 333 is now considered the new absolute reference in the world, an instrument that opens new horizons for the expressive possibilities of piano sound. Velut Luna is the first record label in the world to release a recording of the BORGATO GRAND PRIX 333.
