Notes
"Duo Trevisan"
They debuted as a piano duo at the Boole Madame Festival in France in 1989 and subsequently recorded music by Mozart and Rachmaninov on two pianos for Italian television RAI. In 1992, on the occasion of a series of concerts organized by the Culture Committee of the Province of Udine, Mozart's complete works for two pianos were presented. They have played in the Netherlands (Doelen Theatre in Rotterdam), in the USA (at Paul Hall of the Lincoln Centre in New York and at Hartford University), in Italy (Scuola Grande di S. Giovanni Evangelista in Venice, Amici della Musica in Udine) and in Austria (Wiener Saal in Salzburg). They performed Mozart's Concerto KV365 for two pianos and orchestra with the Udine Philharmonic Orchestra in October 1996. They performed Rachmaninov Music for two pianos at the First International Piano Festival "Adriano Lincetto", in Padua, in October 1997, during the recording sessions of these Rachmaninov Complete Recordings of Music for two pianos and four hands. Finally, the 2000 celebrations for the year of Johann Sebastian Bach gave the Duo Trevisan the opportunity to propose and perform an interesting transcription for piano four hands of the Six Brandenburg Concertos, arranged by Max Reger. They performed this composition live at the Nicola Trevisan Cultural Center in Udine and recorded it for Velut Luna.
In December 2001, Filippo Trevisan tragically died in a fatal skydiving accident, and thus the Duo Trevisan abruptly ended their brilliant career forever.
