Carlo Graziani-Walter (Brussels, 1851 - Florence, 1927) was a pianist, mandolinist, and composer, distinguished by a wide musical production dedicated to the mandolin and, in general, to the world of plectrums, and of course, to the piano.
It mainly consists of chamber music and music for small orchestras, a noble highlight of the best late European Romanticism.
Thanks to his close relationships with the upper bourgeoisie and the Central European and Italian nobility, Graziani-Walter often, if not almost always, drew inspiration from acquaintance and friendship for his works, which almost always boast a specific dedication to this or that person.
The repertoire proposed in this album is the result of careful research carried out by Maura Mazzonetto, a lecturer at the C. Pollini Conservatory in Padua, focused on the rediscovery of original and unpublished manuscripts.
