"Project Two": die ideale Fortsetzung zu "Project One". Im ersten Album hatten wir fast ein Live-Konzert, das in einer Kirche aufgenommen wurde und der zeitgenössischen Musik und dem Prog im Allgemeinen gewidmet war. In "Project Two" haben wir stattdessen ein echtes Konzept, das der Welt von Genesis gewidmet ist: "Eine Genesis Rhapsodie".

Das Velut Luna-Aufnahmeprojekt wurde diesmal vollständig im Studio realisiert und nutzt den prächtigen Steinway & Sons D274 Konzertflügel, der im Magister Recording Area Studio in Preganziol steht. In zwei Stücken arbeiten John und Steve Hackett wieder als Protagonisten mit M° Lo Muscio zusammen.

Der Fokus der Platte liegt auf der Neuinterpretation der Genesis-Welt im klassischen und vollständig akustischen Stil.

Die Platte beginnt mit Entangled, einem Juwel der Post-Gabriel Genesis, und geht dann weiter mit drei Stücken, die durch einen feinen Faden miteinander verbunden sind: das Präludium aus Bachs Cellosuite (für Klavier von M° Lo Muscio arrangiert), das die Grundlage für Horizons bildet; darauf folgen die Meditations on Horizons, eine Komposition von Lo Muscio selbst, die auf Horizons basiert, aber in den Rhythmus der spanischen Habanera eingebettet ist, die Hackett sehr liebt (z.B. Bay oder Kings), und schließlich die Klavierversion von Horizons. Der erste Teil endet mit After the Ordeal im Trio mit den Hackett-Brüdern!

Die B-Seite beginnt mit der Einleitung und dem Ausklang von Watcher of the Skyes; es folgt ein fugiertes Präludium von Lo Muscio, das auf dem melodischen Teil von Firth of Fifth basiert und die eigentliche Einleitung zum klassischen Meisterwerk von Genesis bildet. Es geht weiter mit der Trio-Version von Hairless Heart mit den Hackett-Brüdern, um glorreich mit dem üppigen und raffinierten Meisterwerk Cinema Show zu enden.

Schließlich bietet die hohe Qualität der Velut Luna-Aufnahmen eine unglaubliche Klangpalette beim Hören aller Nuancen des großen Steinway-Flügels, aufgenommen mit einer brandneuen Mikrofontechnik, die von Marco Lincetto entwickelt wurde und einen wirklich "sinfonischen" Klavierklang garantiert: voll, detailliert, imperial!

"Project Two": the ideal follow-up to "Project One". In the first album we had almost a live concert recorded in church and dedicated to contemporary music and Prog in general. In this "Project Two" we have a real concept dedicated to the world of Genesis: "A Genesis Rhapsody".

The Velut Luna recording project this time has been realized entirely in the studio and makes use of the splendid Steynway & Sons D274 Concert Grand resident in the Magister Recording Area of Preganziol. In two tracks John and Steve Hackett return to collaborate as protagonists with M° Lo Muscio.

The focus of the album is on the classical and entirely acoustic reinterpretation of the world of Genesis.
The disc opens with Entangled a gem of Genesis post Gabriel and then continues with three pieces linked together by a thin thread: the Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suite (arranged for piano by M° Lo Muscio) that will be the basis of Horizons; to follow the Meditations on Horizons a composition by Lo Muscio itself that is based on Horizons but inserted in the rhythm of the Spanish Habanera much loved by Hackett (Bay or Kings for example) and finally the piano version of Horizons. The first part ends with After the Ordeal in trio with the Hackett brothers!

The B-side opens with the introduction and the tail of Watcher of the Skyes; it continues with a fuged Prelude by Lo Muscio based on the melodic part of Firth of Fifth that is the real introduction to the classic masterpiece of Genesis. We continue with the trio version with the Hackett brothers of Hairless Heart to finish in a grand way with that sumptuous and refined masterpiece of Cinema Show.

Finally, the great quality of the Velut Luna recordings will offer an incredible sound palette in listening to all the nuances of the grand piano Steinway, recorded with a brand new microphone technique elaborated by Marco Lincetto that guarantees a real piano "symphonic sound": full, detailed, imperial!
