Project Two: A Genesis Rhapsody – Marco Lo Muscio with Steve and John Hackett

Project Two: A Genesis Rhapsody is Marco Lo Muscio's recording project dedicated to the world of Genesis, featuring Steve Hackett and John Hackett. Recorded entirely in the studio, the album reimagines this repertoire through a classical and acoustic perspective centred on a Steinway & Sons D-274 concert grand and Lo Muscio's arrangements.

The edition available here is the Velut Luna CVLD387C 180g Crystal Vinyl, made from PET with Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) and a One-Step process. The original recording was captured at 88.2 kHz / 24 bit at Magister Recording Area in Preganziol in December 2024; analog mixing and mastering were completed by Marco Lincetto at VLS Studio in Náquera, Spain, in January 2025.

Genesis reimagined in a classical and acoustic setting

The programme connects music by Genesis with Johann Sebastian Bach and an original composition by Marco Lo Muscio. Entangled, Horizons, After the Ordeal, Watcher of the Skies, Firth of Fifth, Hairless Heart and The Cinema Show are reshaped into a coherent sequence that brings the melodic lines, harmonic architecture and chamber-like character of the repertoire to the foreground.

Steve Hackett on guitar and John Hackett on flute join Marco Lo Muscio on two tracks: After the Ordeal and Hairless Heart. Their presence creates a direct musical connection with the history of Genesis within a reinterpretation designed with its own instrumental identity.
