The recording was made at St. Peter's Church in Chelsea under the direction of sound engineer Nicholas Prout and featured the young singer accompanied by a top-notch jazz band: pianist Andy Ezrin, bassists John Hebert and Tim Lefebvre, and drummer Gene Jackson. On some tracks, the ensemble is rounded out by the smoky saxophone of veteran Lawrence Feldman. Joyce's charming repertoire blends skilled interpretations of famous Great American Songbook evergreens (\"Darn That Dream\") with jazz standards (Miles Davis' \"Blue in Green\"), jazz-tinged r\u0026b tunes (\"Fever\"), rock (Jimi Hendrix's \"Little Wing\"), and pop (The Beatles' \"Golden Slumbers\").
